It is with great sadness that Larry’s family announces his sudden passing Sunday, March 7, 2021. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
He was predeceased by his mom Rita Joyce Dubois; dad, Glenn Dale Godfrey; brothers Dwayne and Delzel; and sister Cheryl.
Larry is survived by his loving partner and soul mate, Michelle Dale Deschambault, their son, Ethan David Deschambault and friend Katie Lerat; daughter, Evangeline Ponace (Eddie Charles), children Emmerson, Embry, and Emmarae, son Nathaniel Dubois, son Faizon Alexson, and daughters Zendaya and Zalyne, son Chance Tony, and son Levi, daughter Cory Tony and her son Tayson, step-son Daniel Blaine Deschambault and loving mother-in-law Lorna Standingready/Acoose.
Larry was a kind, caring and loving father who had a smile for all he met in his life. Larry loved the great outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping. He also liked to watch hockey, football, movies and playing video games with his sons Ethan and Danny. Larry loved music and would sit at a piano whenever he saw one not in use and play like no one else with much feeling.
Larry was a Sixty Scoop Survivor and was brought up by Phoena and Art Tanner since birth whom he considered his mom and dad. Larry was reunited with his original family during the year either 1983 or 1984 and was adopted by Stella Mauratt (his mom Rita’s older sister).
Larry had a good work ethic and his employment led him into the field of justice. Larry worked as a Surveillance Officer, Loss Prevention Officer and spent the last 15 years plus as a Security Officer at the Northgate Mall in Regina. Here, Larry made a mark in history for receiving a citation from the Governor of Montana, United States of America for single handedly catching and restraining a wanted fugitive from the State of Montana.
Larry loved animals and lost the love of his life Houdini his beloved cat in 2016. Larry leaves to mourn Rondo Deschambault a pit bull, shepherd, brindle handsome dog and Casper Deschambault a rag doll cat.
A Private Traditional Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. To view the livestream of the service, please click on the link above which will be available on the day of the service.
