To Bonnie, Ron and your whole family. Bonnie, your Dad was such a great man. I remember us visiting you in Regina many years ago and visiting with your parents. It was so great talking with your Dad. He had such a warm smile while his eyes sparkled. He was so kind and genuine. He had the great ability to engage in conversation with anyone - young and old. Derek also enjoyed talked to your Dad as I can remember Derek telling me about seeing him years ago.
Your Dad's absence will leave such a void. Something to be grateful for is that he had a long and truly well-lived life. He was so loved by his large family of children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and you will miss him.
Lots of love to you all, along with a virtual hug, Margy Cherkas

I’m truly sorry to hear of Skuli’s passing. What I remember about Skuli is his laugh, his smile and his ability to find out what you were doing. This was true when I was a youngster after moving back to Leslie and later when I had retired to live in PEI. Skuli liked people and enjoyed talking to them. His stories were so good. One he told me was about the Halifax Riots near the end of WW2. Suffice to say Skuli laughed throughout the telling. My sincere condolences to his family.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Skuli's family. I remember as a boy that whenever we got together the key was the handshake. He would squeeze and I learned to squeeze back and not to wince. Then he would laugh.

Skuli was a wonderful man and a real good neighbor. Always willing to help and a nice smile whenever we got to visit him. I remember a Christmas morning a long time ago when Skuli and Hulda came over for our family breakfast and we sang Christmas carols accompanied by my late husband Lawrence on the violin and my son Danny on the accordian. Our condolences go out to all Skuli's family and freinds for your loss. May God bless his kind soul.

We are very sorry to hear about the passing of Skuli. Our memories are with his work at Mosaic and in particular him selling Mosaic passes outside the Liqour Store. He was hard to say no when he asked for things. He was a good man.

The thing I remember most about Uncle Skuli was that he was always smiling. He always seemed happy.
My mother would tell me Skuli would never want her to come to the dances at Leslie, SK when she was 16, because he didn't want his little sister "cramping his style". All these years and she still holds a grudge :).
Our prayers and thoughts are with his children and grandchildren.

So sorry to the whole family. Uncle Skuli would call me at least once a year just to check in as he put it. He always asked about my sisters and how they were doing. I will miss his positive attitude on life in general. His conversations always picked me up. Last time I saw him was I think 3 years ago when he was visiting with family on the Thorsteinson side. I can't remember their names though. He was a bit achy from arthritis he said but doing well otherwise. He did sound a little lonely and said he missed Hulda so much. Again, my condolences
