Obituary of Beverley Rita Hill

Beverley Rita Hill was born in Arborfield, SK on July 9, 1936 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 13, 2021. She was raised in Prince Albert, SK. Beverley graduated nursing school from the Holy Family Hospital after which she moved to Saskatoon where she worked at St. Paul’s Hospital as an RN. Bev was a great bowler winning many plaques and trophies. She was an avid golfer and curler. Bev and Fred were part of a group that took many five day canoe trips through northern Saskatchewan. Perhaps her best joy was playing bridge with the neighborhood bridge clubs and the Engineers Wives’ bridge club. Beverley also served on the APEW executive for many years. In 1960, she married Fred Hill from Saskatoon where they started their family. Fred, their first son, was born in 1963, Glen, their second son in 1966 and their only daughter Sandra in 1971. Beverley was predeceased by her mother Margarita; sister Lois; nephew Rick; and sister-in-law Donna. Beverley is survived by her husband Fred; sons Fred (Helene) and Glen (Karen); daughter Sandra Elliott (Darwin); grandchildren James (Amber), Piers, Brooke, Cole, Alex, Austin and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Boston; and brothers Earl (Gladys) and Jim (Dian). A private memorial service will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. To view the livestream of the service, please click on the link above, which will be available on the day of the service.
