Obituary of Margaret Sybil Barnett (nee Sparrow)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sybil Barnett on Thursday, March 18, 2021 after complications related to stomach cancer. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim; her parents George and Evelyn; and siblings, Agnes and Heath. Sybil is survived by her daughters, Cheryl, Belinda and Michelle; grandson Jonathan; her beloved pets, Bella, Kali and Sarge; brother Bill; twin sister Shirley; and sister-in-law Marj and their families; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In respect of Sybil’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Our family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Pasqua Hospital, especially those on unit 4B who made mom’s last days as comfortable and painless as possible. We would like to give a special thank you to the entire staff at Salvation Army William Booth Special Care Home, where mom participated in their adult day program for the past eleven years. Mom couldn’t wait to go there every day and always had fond memories of her day’s adventures and was so grateful for all your hard work and dedication. We would also like to thank Regina Paratransit and their drivers for their years of service transporting mom to and from William Booth.
