It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adele Lucia Gerhart on Friday, March 19, 2021.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Harvey; daughter Darlyne Wagner; grandchildren Mark (Jen), Shannon (Dion) and Michael (Nicola); great-grandchildren Dominic and Alice; sisters Erna (Al) Wolfe and Hilda Campbell; sister-in-law Del Klee; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Adele was predeceased by her parents Philip and Minnie Klee; brother Philip Klee; brother-in-law Murray Campbell; granddaughter Lorie Marie and many members of the Gerhart Family.
Born in Poland in December of 1928, Adele came to Canada with her parents in 1930. She attended school in Cupar and Southey SK, where she met Harvey Gerhart the love of her life.
Adele started her career with the Royal Bank, then Royalite Oil and later in life worked for many years at Wascana Hospital in the Finance office, helping others until retirement.
Adele had a strong faith in the Lord. She was a long-time member of St. Marks Lutheran Church for over 65 years, participating in ELW, choir, Stevens Ministry and hardly ever missed a Sunday Service.
After her husband joined the Regina WA Wa Shrine, Adele became a working member with the Auxiliary, daughters of the Nile and Don Singers.
Relatives and friends were always welcome in her home for food, music, fellowship and some of the best hospitality around, everyone was special.
Travel with their motorhome was a big part of her life, including the many friendships with the members of the Queen City Sam's RV Club. Her and Harvey also loved their trips to Hawaii, Europe and the West Coast, where she enjoyed visiting family and the Rocky Mountains.
Adele was a good friend to many, her Bunt cakes and Baking were delicious, they will truly be missed, as she will be too.
A memorial Service will be at a later date when we are able to gather. Donations may be made in memory of Adele to St. Marks Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina SK, S4S 2G2.
