Faye Iannone

Obituary of Faye Evelyn Iannone

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Faye Iannone, on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Faye is loved and remembered by her sons, Tim (Sheryl), Chris (Tammy), and John; her granddaughters Georgia and Ava; and brother Gene (Shirley). She was predeceased by her loving husband Nick; son Anthony; parents Clifford and Fanivy; brother Emmett; and sister Betty. Faye was born on March 4, 1933 on a farm near Coronach, SK. She met the love of her life, Nick, at the Grand Opening of Iannone’s Footwear and shortly after, they married. This was where her faith journey began. Faye always said how thankful she was to become a Catholic. Faith guided and gave her strength throughout her life. Faye worked various jobs until she became a mother. This was her true calling. She was very involved in her boys’ lives and could always be counted on. Faye was overjoyed to become a grandmother. She was extremely loving and generous to her two girls. The Iannone house was a neighbourhood gathering point. Faye enjoyed visiting and playing many games of cards with friends and neighbours. They were all considered part of the family. Faye welcomed anyone who needed a place to stay. Her door was always open. After the kids were grown, Faye enjoyed spending more time at the shoe store. She loved helping customers and working alongside her family. Faye was blessed to have many devoted friends. They were very special to her and made her final years more comforting. Thank you to the staff at JD&C Care Home for taking such great care of mom. The family would also like to thank Dr. Lotz and all of the compassionate healthcare workers that looked after mom throughout her life. A private Mass of Christian Burial is planned. A celebration of Faye’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
