Obituary of Louise Sawatzky

Louise Sawatzky was born in Saskatoon in September 1933, and she attended Bedford Road Collegiate. She married Werner Sawatzky in October of 1957 and they made their home in Saskatoon, attending Mayfair Mennonite Church and then Cornerstone Community Church. Louise loved to read and visit with friends and family. She also loved to entertain, play games and always had plenty of homemade desserts for every gathering. Louise enjoyed going out for coffee or breakfast with Werner and their friends. She especially enjoyed breakfast at the Park Town Hotel restaurant. After Werner passed away, Louise moved to Bethany Manor and enjoyed her years there. She then moved to Regina to be closer to her son Murray. Louise passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her son Murray Sawatzky and daughter-in-law Sandra Hubenig; son-in-law Cam Baergen and their respective families. Louise was predeceased by her daughter Yvonne Baergen; and her husband Werner. An interment will be held at Hill Crest Cemetery.
