Obituary of Wayne Harold Galenzoski

Wayne Harold Galenzoski, of Regina, Sk., passed away peacefully in his home on March 29, 2021. Born August 2, 1951, Wayne grew up in Southey, SK., and later Outlook, SK., before settling in Regina for the remainder of his life. Wayne was a hardworking man who devoted many years of service before retiring from CP Rail in 2012. He was an avid sports-fan, who both played and coached hockey and baseball in his youth and golfed often until his passing. Above all else, Wayne was a loving father to both his daughter, Kaycee Galenzoski, and step-son, Adam Kubashek, as well as a devoted son and prime caregiver to his mother, Erna Galenzoski, all of whom survive him. Wayne’s memory will also live on through his sister, Sharon Sellers (John); nephew, Jason Sellers (Stacey); as well as many other loving family members, friends, and co-workers. Wayne was predeceased by his father, Harold Galenzoski.

Wayne will be remembered as being as big-hearted, as he was hot-tempered. He was never one to shy away from standing up for what he believed in, and often gave a voice to those who could not speak for themselves. Wayne will be remembered as a prime example that benevolence is not synonymous with meekness.

A small private Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that mourners commit one act of kindness to honour Wayne’s memory.
