MARINA DOROTHY ANNE SANDERSON

Born: January 13, 1935 at Lorlie, Saskatchewan

Passed Away: April 16, 2021 in Regina, Saskatchewan

After a brave fight with Cancer, it is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Marina Dorothy Anne Sanderson who went to be with our Lord and Saviour on April 16, 2021.

Marina is survived by her 9 children, Perry (Grace), Linda (Phil), James, Gerry (Mary), Beverly (Ken), Margaret (Randy), Donald (Elaine), Carl, Pam, and honorary son Murray (Vera) Thompson; 144 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; and her younger brother Lionel (Tina) Desnomie.

Mom was predeceased by her parents Alexander Desnomie from File Hills and Margaret Wells from the USA; her loving husband Leslie Sanderson from Peepeekisis Cree Nation; her daughter Gail Patricia Watt; numerous grandchildren; brothers; sisters; and relatives.

Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Wednesday April 21, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  If you wish to attend, please RSVP by clicking the link above.  Registration for the visitation will close at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

Funeral Mass and Celebration of Marina’s life will be held at Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church on Thursday April 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. on the Peepeekisis Cree Nation, with interment to follow.
