Obituary of Sharon Smith

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that our family announces the passing of Sharon Smith, who was called home on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. It brings us great comfort that she is no longer suffering and is now in Heaven. Predeceased by her loving husband Gordon Smith in 2018.  Our Mom’s life has never been the same after losing her husband and now the two are at peace together. Sharon will be profoundly missed by her daughters; Janice (Adrian) Wolfmueller, Jocelyn (David) Robinson, and Jodie Smith. Her grandchildren were always a source of joy for her; Zachary (Amanda) Wolfmueller, Rebecca (Brandon) Petford, and Nicole Robinson. Sharon’s four great-grandchildren were an added blessing to her life; Emily, Greyson, Caleb and Grace.

Mom devoted her whole life to her family. We benefitted from the decision that our parents made to have Mom stay and work within the home. This sacrifice on the part of our Mom, was one of many, which served us well. As a wife, Mom, and grandma she was a loving woman with a beautiful smile!  Her family meant the world to her and she meant the world to us. Mom used her exceptional skills in baking and cooking to show love to others. She had the good fortune of spending many winters in places without snow. Our parents made many special friends during their time in California and Arizona.

Our Mom was very generous with her compliments, kind words, reassurance, and reflective wisdom. These precious gifts will always be remembered. Goodbye dear sweet Mom, you will be in our hearts and memories forever!

A private family celebration honouring Sharon’s life will occur at a later date.  Flowers are graciously declined.  Those wishing may make a donation to a charity of their choice.
