Condolences and big hugs to Bea’s family. Bea was well known and contributed to every aspect of the Ogema community and beyond. I loved hearing the stories of the Hartleys and Struthers and other families as their children grew up. Precious memories to be passed on!

My condolence to your family. I have fond memories of Bea while growing up in Ogema and during my time in CGIT. In later years when I would drop into Ogema for a visit, it was always a pleasure to run into her and have a visit.

Our sincere condolences to the family on Bea’s passing. We knew her siblings throughout the years from growing up in Dilke, they were all good people like Bea and when I met Harry you can see how they were together. She was a character and I got to know her fairly well when I lived in Ogema. I often seen here at other events especially curling like the Brier or Scotties with her sisters and Brian, you can talk to them all the same like you were friends and they made you fell that way. Your mom and dad were just good people.

I have so many fond memories of my time with Aunt Bea and Uncle Harry and my Struthers cousins.....birthdays, bbqs, Christmas and week long stays in the summer. Bea was a straight shooter but she loved and cared deeply for those around her. She will be greatly missed.

Cathy, Susan and family, So very sorry to hear about your Mom. She was such a kind and generous person with just enough bite to make you mind your manners. I will always be grateful to her for being so supportive and kind to Mom after Dad died. She was a great lady and will be missed.

What a loving tribute to a marvellous mother! I have so many memories of your mom from having family suppers at your house (so many kids! I remember one night when my parents forgot one child who was sleeping somewhere in your house), to church services lead by her. Bea was much admired for her community spirit and contributions - she was one of these dependable people who would step in when something was needed. They don't make them like her any more. Hold on to all of your memories.

of something loved
now lost.
Love always exists first.
And while this knowledge might no fix anything,
it might help us get through the darkest nights."

Bea was a remarkable lady. She was a major support to Ruth and I when we were settled in Ogema, Benough, Pangman Pastoral Charge. I’ll never forget her question to me at the first Worship Committee meeting: “You don't do puppets, do you?” Apparently, a predecessor would talk to puppets in place of sermons! Bea made it clear that she needed sermons...and sermons she got. Always the teacher, Bea helped me take my “book learning” about ministry and actually put it into practice. I will always think of OBP as a finishing school for ministers and Bea played a big role in that. Bea, the world is a little less kind for your passing.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I remember Bea fondly. I remember the discussions we had at CGIT about all kinds of things. She made it interesting and taught us how to make informed decisions. She was a good neighbour to mom and dad and to mom after dad's death. I still have the framed pictures of dad that your mom put together for us. You will all miss her deeply but with all your wonderful memories she will live on in your hearts.
