Obituary of Frank Gobelt

Frank passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 96 years, with his family at his side. He was predeceased by his parents Josef and Barbara Gobelt and his sister Eva Rest. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 71 years Anna; daughters Barbara (Walter) Gamble, Linda Gobelt, Darlene (Brad) Klinger; grandchildren, Marie Gamble, Ben Gamble, Matthew Klinger and Scott (Patricia) Klinger; brother-in-law Toni Rest, and nieces in Germany.

Frank was born in Bátaszék, Hungary. He relocated to Germany where he married Anna in 1950. They immigrated to Canada in 1951 settling in the Saltcoats area where Frank’s grandfather and uncles lived. They later moved to Regina.  Frank was a sheet metal worker by trade and excelled at it for 36 years.  

Frank’s life was one of faith and was very involved with the church. He loved travelling to Germany and Hawaii.  Frank spent his summers at the family cottage at Sunset Cove where he always had one last project.  He liked to go for walks, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

Ever remembered and loved as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
