Obituary of Robert William Rittwage

Surrounded in body and spirit by his loved ones, Bob passed away peacefully. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Margaret; and siblings, Diane, Rick and Karl; son Shane; and sister-in-law Shirley. Left to mourn are his wife Cathy; daughter Bobbi; son Jai; son Michael; friends Taren and Bart;  grandchildren Nahla and Zuko; brother Doug (Doris, Derrick, Brandy); brother Michael (Ruth, Mikey, Robbie, Dustin); sisters Doris, Beverly, and Sheila; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Bob was raised in Brighton Ontario and moved to Saskatchewan in 1980. He worked for many years as an orderly at the Pasqua Hospital where he and Cathy met. He always enjoyed working there and often referred to himself as “Dr. Bob.” He retired in 2012.

Bob was best known and loved for his big heart, generosity and sense of humor. He liked to tease people and knew exactly how to push their buttons. Bob enjoyed spending time with family and playing cards. He was always finding new interests to occupy his time. Like everyone, Bob had his struggles but was always working to overcome them.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at a later date.

Many thanks to the caring nurses at 5A RGH and Palliative Care at the Pasqua. We are very grateful that he was able to see and speak to the people that meant the most to him.
