Margaret and family.
I enjoyed Peter and Sophie both over years of soups and daily specials at the CBC cafeteria. A kind and generous soul who had a true passion for people and an effortless kindness. I remember trooping down to the CBC from DirectWest on Broad Street for lunch and wondering if I would need to eat again for the week.
It started a long engagement of visits while I finished University and would tuck in there to see the trees and work among people.
I am sorry for the loss of such a good man and to you all on the loss of your patron.

Dear Margaret and Families,
Our heartfelt sympathies. Regina and the Greek Community mourns the loss of a great, honourable, kind and very pleasant man with many contributions and memories.
One particular childhood memory is the many parties our community attended at Peter’s Cafeteria on Scarth Street.
As young kids they were incredibly fun times running around.
May his memory be eternal!
Warmest Regards,
Angie, Jim and Maria Sirounis

We were so saddened to hear of Peter’s passing. His gentle humour and welcoming smile made a trip to the CBC cafeteria more than a chance to get a good cup of coffee. And of course there was always a short chat with Sophie. They were always so proud of their family. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Saddened to hear about Peter. I can still picture Peter sitting at the table in the cafeteria at the CBC whenever the Wascana Area 2 crew came in for break. The breakfast was always excellent and filling. Heartfelt thoughts.

I worked at the CBC and one of the joys of working there was a daily visit or two into Peter’s restaurant. He was a character. Both he and Sophie would usually have you entering and leaving with a smile on. Great food, great humour, great company. Peter made his mark. One of those people you’ll never forget. Take care of yourselves.

Our deepest condolences from Chicago. Theio Taki, as I called him, was a special man. Ever since Maggie and Nick United, he became an extended part of our family. He always supported our band, Arkadia, and encouraged us. He was so proud of his grandkids and it was so cool to see the relationships he had with them. He will be remembered. May his Memory be Eternal!!!

We first met Peter and sofie after our son Kevin became engaged to Cathy. They came out to Moose Jaw to meet us, and we felt like we had known them for years. They were so warm and welcomed us into their family. Then they had an engagement party at thei house. In our family , an engagement party would probably have 15-20 people. Imagine our shock and amazement when the whole Greek community showed up. Haha. Probably an exaggeration. We could have been intimidated but Sophie and Peter made sure we were included in everything and very welcome, as did the other people there. That’s how it started and 27 years later we still felt like family, and we loved them like family. Peter was the kindest, warm-hearted, brave and special man we have had the pleasure of knowing. He will be sorely missed. Our sincere condolences to Margaret, Nick and family, Bill, Cathy Kevin and family, and to all who loved Peter. Corinne and Ed Bekar
