On August 12, 1961 he married the love of his life Noreen, a love affair that spanned over 59 years. Jim has two children, Jason and Tracy whom he loved and cared for very much. He was later blessed with 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and had no greater joy than seeing them grow up to be wonderful young men and women. His younger brother, David, was always like a son to him.

Jim later began working in the mining and resource sector where he held numerous safety related positions as a result of his extensive first aid training and awards with St. Johns Ambulance. He finished his career with the Saskatchewan Public Service Commission where he spent over 30 years in Human Resource Management.
Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking, teaching wilderness survival and spending his summers and retirement at his cabin located at Regina Beach, Saskatchewan which he built at the age of 20. Earlier in his life, Jim had a pilot’s license and enjoyed flying small planes. He had mastered the Art of Origami and enjoyed bringing a smile to the face of someone by giving them a flower or dinosaur that he had made. Jim was an integral part of his Anglican Church where he spent many years in leadership roles and as the People’s warden.
He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Charlotte (Sinclair); and brothers Don and Bob. Jim is survived by his lovely wife of 59 years Noreen; son Jason (Liz); daughter Tracy; his brother David; 7 grandchildren, Alex (Rocelyn), Amber, Chenoa, Caprice, Takoda, Seth, Fayla; 3 great-grandchildren Aaralyn, Erison, and Leo; as well as nieces and nephews.
