Cheryl Sue Caughlin went home to Jesus on June 9, 2021 at the age of 76.  Cheryl was born to Henry and Clara Hilderman on November 8, 1944. As a child, she attended a country school and she always considered herself a farm girl. Cheryl graduated from Grey Nuns' Hospital as a registered nurse in 1965.  She met her husband, Bruce Caughlin in 1964 on a blind date. They were married 2 years later on July 16, 1966 and went on to have three children, Paul (Angie),  Penny (Manabu) Yamazaki and Nicole (Arthur) Githegi, She is also loved by three grandchildren, Clara Githegi, Laura Githegi, Takeshi Yamazaki, and honorary grandson, Jimmy (Erin) Githegi and their son, Austin. She also leaves her sisters Crystal (Eldor) Schmidt and Avril (Bill) LeBlanc, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many, many friends.

Cheryl was a compassionate, loving woman, devoted to her friends and family, anyone in need could count on her to bring baking or a casserole and be a supportive shoulder to lean on. We were all amazed that such a frail, pained body could hold so much strength,

She was an excellent cook, with the family particularly fond of her cinnamon rolls, buns, coleslaw, and pickles. She liked quilting and watching sports. She also spent many a fun evening playing cards, visiting friends and cuddling with her dog, Buttons.

Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Clara Hilderman and parents-in-law Tom and Olga Caughlin.  We know that they and all of heaven are rejoicing at her arrival, and she is safe in the arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ.
