Don was my dad's barber, and his dad's barber and my barber up until he retired. I remember being a kid witch wasnt to long ago, and going into his shop and getting the same hair cut every time, short and flat in the back and short and spikey in the front. I miss Don and wish I could have visited him one last time. My deepest condolences to his family, and rest in peace Don.

Darren, Mark and Family, my sincerest condolences on the passing of your Dad. He truly was, “One of Kind”, I recall the stories he would share about his work and he knew my uncle Peter your dad was his barber and brush cuts were pretty simple back in the day. I found your dad to be unique, always willing to lend a hand. May his memories bring you comfort.

Please accept my condolences regarding the passing of your father, Don.
He cut my hair from 1975 until his retirement and he always told me my next haircut would be a good one.

My most sincere condolences to the family at this time even though I know words don't seem like quite enough. Don truly was one of a kind, from the time our family moved into the neighbor hood we grew up knowing him and he us, he cut my dad and uncles hair, always joked about wanting to cut mine lol. He came to our family weddings, funerals there wasn't anything he missed. He was missed when he retired and the memories I shared are a few of many I have to cherish of him..

To the family of Don the Barber
We are so very sorry for your loss. Your father was known and loved by many, a local celebrity of sorts. My father used to go to Don for many years, and of course took his son, then his grandsons to see Don. My children looked forward to going with their grandfather to see Don, where they marveled at the decor, were fascinated with the Police scanner and were thoroughly entertained by Don.
May you find support in the love which surrounds you and comfort in your memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
L. Brailean and family.

I used to tell people that if I had my police career to do over, I’d start each case with asking Don who did it. I really enjoyed having Don as my barber. Please Rest In Peace.

Don was "Scanner-man" for many years to the newsroom at CJME when we paid for news-tips. He augmented his monthly income quite well at times! Always enjoyed chatting with Don. My condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Don.
As a long time customer Don was a great surgeon lowered my ears regularly and never drew blood once. Getting a haircut at Don's was an event, always had a joke & story, just never ask to go ahead of anyone and you were a friend for life. Will miss giving him a call to catch up.
