Obituary of Gary Anthony Frohlick

FROHLICK, Gary Anthony

January 14, 1954 - June 21, 2021


It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Frohlick at the age of 67.  Gary was born in Imperial, Saskatchewan on January 14, 1954 and passed away peacefully on June 21, 2021 in Regina after a courageous 7 year battle with Frontotemporal Dementia.  


We take comfort in the belief that he is reunited with his mother, Theresa Frohlick; father-in-law, Max Kuntz; and sister-in-law, Sharon Klotz.  Gary will be forever missed by Brenda, his loving wife and best friend of 45 years; daughter Andrea (Stephan) Sulek and son Aaron. Left to mourn are his father, Tony Frohlick; siblings: Lloyd (Deborah) Frohlick, Grace (John) Manson, Len (Joyce) Frohlick, Cliff (Mandy) Frohlick, Nancy (Garth) Donauer, and Laura (Darren) Thompson; mother-in-law, Julia Kuntz; and brothers-in-law, Randy (Wendy) Kuntz, Doug (Jackie) Kuntz, and Doug Klotz. Gary is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.

 

Gary grew up in Holdfast, Saskatchewan until the age of 11 when the family moved to Regina.  He attended Miller High School and then obtained his Bachelor of Administration from the University of Regina in 1977.  Gary dedicated his entire working career to the Government of Saskatchewan, Ministry of Finance, where he was respected by all.  Gary was very active in the church and community.  He joined Knights of Columbus (Father Burns Council) at the age of 18, and held several roles, including Grand Knight. Gary was a dedicated family man and loved to spend time with his family and friends at their cottage at Alice Beach.  He loved to travel, golf and play cards, and, was an avid Saskatchewan Roughrider and Chicago Blackhawks fan. Gary was a very kind and gentle man who was always there to help.


We would like to express our gratitude to all our family and friends as well as health care providers who supported us throughout the years.  
A Celebration of Life will be held at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Rd. Regina, SK on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
