Obituary of Gloria Kathleen Unrau

Gloria was granted her angel wings on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and loved ones. Gloria was born September 15, 1941 to Edwin and Signe Olson in Leroy, Saskatchewan.

She was predeceased by both her parents; three sisters; and three brothers. Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, John Unrau and their children, Jeff (Barb) and Kathy (Scott); grandson Jason (Jenna) and their daughters Presley and Ember; granddaughters Miranda (Tyler) and their daughters Brooke and Ivy, and Rebecca (Andrew) and their daughters Avery and Jaida; as well as one brother, Leo Olson.

John and Gloria loved to travel every winter and have enjoyed all of the different countries, until they decided to settle in Texas every winter for the past 21 years. They had been living at Pelican Pointe full time since 1996, right up until June of 2021.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkside Extendicare for looking after Gloria for the past two months. Your kindness is appreciated. A Private Funeral Service, by invitation only, will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in memory of Gloria, may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan Inc., 2550 12 Avenue, Regina SK S4P 3X1.
