Doreen Whyte

Obituary of Doreen B. Whyte

We regretfully announce the passing of Doreen Whyte on July 8th, 2021 after a long battle with breast cancer. Doreen was with family and friends while she passed.

Doreen was born in Bengough, Saskatchewan to parents Doris and Clinton Whyte in 1954.

Doreen was one of the fiercest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her colourfully leading us through life. Doreen was passionate about many things; the Saskatchewan Roughriders, sewing, gardening, skiing, reading, antiques/collections, cooking the hottest chili known to man, but most importantly her family. She was extremely proud of being a founding member of Beta Zeta, a chapter of the sorority, Beta Sigma Phi and managing with Fabricland for over 20 years.

In 1981 she met Terry Duncan and she loved his three children Sheri, Traci (Phil) and Calvin (Maryanne). However, the apple of her eyes were her grandchildren Amanda (Johann), D’Anna (Greg), Melina, Anthony and Cassandra and her greatgrandchildren Leah and Atticus.  Sister to Marie (Gordon) and Ken; Auntie to Dawn (David), Kelsey and Colton, Jody (Geof), Jonah and Joran, and David (Cherry), Brock, Alexander, and Olivia.

A reception in her memory will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina SK on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 1-3:00 pm. She will be laid to rest near her father in Bengough, SK on July 31, 2021 at 12 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please do something to add colour to your life to honour her spirit.
