Obituary of Elizabeth Smith

Elizabeth “Betty” Smith (nee Reslein) passed away on July 15, 2021, at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her husband Sidney; parents Elizabeth (Schwartz nee Schnell) and Joseph Reslein; brothers Adam Schwartz, John Reslein, Joe Reslein and Benadict Reslein; sister Katherine Kuntz; brother and sisters-in-law Anthony Kuntz, Pauline Schwartz, and Patricia Reslein. Left to cherish Betty’s memory is her daughter Catherine Twizell (William); grandchildren Shana Sack (Trevor) and Sheldon Twizell (Emilie); and great-grandchildren Payton and Emmy Sack. Betty is also survived by many nieces and nephews, all of whom were near and dear to her heart. Betty worked at a variety of places in Regina including the Grey Nuns Hospital and the Regina Exhibition Association.  Throughout her life Betty was a dedicated volunteer who spent her time volunteering at several organizations throughout Regina, including the Eureka Fellowship Society, Regina and District Ostomy Society, Al-Anon Society of Regina, Regina Cancer Clinic, Pioneer Village and Regina Village. Our family wishes to thank the wonderful staff and residents at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre for the amazing care and support that was given during her time there. Her Celebration of Life will take place at Holy Rosary Cathedral Hall on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM with prayers and remembrance shared at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Unit Main-5, 2180 23^rd Avenue, Regina, SK, S4S 0A5.
