Donelda Phillips

Obituary of Donelda Anne Phillips

After a lifetime of doing everything at full speed, Donelda Anne Phillips died Friday, July 23, 2021 in Regina at the age of 78. She was born to Fred and Anna Picker on their homestead near Oxbow, Saskatchewan. While growing up she loved playing the piano with her older sister, Marlene, who she adored and missed every day since her sibling’s passing in 2002. Donelda moved into the city as a teenager and soon after met the love of her life, Wayne Phillips. They were married for 60 years and had two children, Jason and Jamie. Donelda spent nearly 30 years working for the Royal Bank, spending the last 10 years as a loans officer. She managed many of the kids' amateur sports teams, volunteered for the Salvation Army, put in decades of passionate work for the Lakeside Lions and enjoyed spending her free time with hours of continuous shopping. She gave her all to everything she touched. Donelda is survived by her soulmate, Wayne Phillips; son Jason; daughter Jamie (Neil); grandchildren Sebbie, Avri, and Talla; and special niece Darcy. A private family service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4P 3G7.
