Brenda, Allan, Milton, Ken and families - I just wanted to give you all our deepest sympathies on the loss of Alvina. What a wonderful woman she was - and as Karen said at the funeral SO STRONG; but she was also gentle and kind and loving. What a privilege for me to grow up knowing her and her always having her look out for/after me. And what patience and love she and Adam showered on both my Mom and Dad - what she did for them was absolutely priceless. I wish you all the very best in your journey toward peace in this loss and hope that you will all continue to do well in your lives. Doesn't seem that our paths cross that much and now that we are living in Fort Qu'Appelle, even less but should you see me plugging along on the far end of a store or parking lot, I hope that you'll stop for a chat as will I. Take care all of you!!! Love, Lynn and Ray Beres

Dear Weisbrod family,
My Mom and Alvina became friends at College Park 2. They ate meals together before Alvina’s move to the second floor. When my sister and I visited, we enjoyed listening to them share life stories. Quite often, laughter would bring them both to tears! We visited Alvina at the hospital after her bad fall. Coincidentally, our Dad was a patient in the room next door!
Alvina had a beautiful spirit, and brought smiles to all she met! What a blessing to have known her later in life!

My deepest sympathy to the family. I have many fond memories of her and Adam, especially when they lived down the street from us when they first got married. We spent a lot of time together in those days. Alvina made the Best cottage cheese !!! My cottage cheese strudel never tasted the same after she left the farm. She is now safe in our Lord’s hands—may you find peace in that. Bernice Zapf (alvina’s cousin)

One of my all time favourite Aunts, always appreciated how Aunt Alvina talked to us like adults when we were kids in her soft spoken manner and seemed to go out of her way to just ask about stuff and catch up at large family gatherings. Condolences to all the family. Rod Nasewich

Dear Milton & Karen and all the Weisbrod family, so sorry to hear of Alvina's passing, may she rest in peace. I remember her fondly, and I had the good fortune of being able to get to know her years ago when she was still out at the farm, Milton & Karen's neighbour. Had a lot of good chats! She will be missed.

My deepest condolences to your family. I am sure she will be greatly missed. I always will have fond memories of your mother’s cream puffs she made the best in the world. She always made time to come see me at my Mom’s apartment when I came back from living overseas. May all your fond memories of her bring you comfort in the days ahead.
