Obituary of Marion Marlene Schneider

Marion passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice.  Mom left this earthly world to be reunited with dad, Elmer Schneider and many loved ones.  Marion was born in Lemberg, Saskatchewan in the midst of the dirty thirties.  She was born to John and Minnie (Hepting) Ruecker.  Marion had three brothers and three sisters.  She moved to Regina as a young woman were she took her first job at Simpsons.  Elmer and Marion were married in 1954 and raised their family in Regina. Marion is survived by her children Terry (Susan) Schneider, and Tim Schneider (Sandy Mann); three granddaughters, Kristen Schneider (Robbie Anderson), Chelsea (Jarrod) Rainbird, and Neysa (TJ) Strueby.; seven great-grandchildren Cole and Ryann Anderson, Emma and Dominic Rainbird, and Brooklyn, Tenley and Michael Strueby; her sister Bernice Weinheimer; sister-in-law Rose Ruecker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was an avid walker and maintained a healthy lifestyle. In her retirement years, she learned to play bridge.  Marion made many wonderful friends and enjoyed travelling to small town Saskatchewan with her bridge partners for tournaments. Special thanks to Dr. Afam Nwalusi for his wonderful care, compassion and phone calls.  Thanks also to Dr. Andrew Kielly of the Pasqua Hospital and the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Salvation Army – Territorial Headquarters, 2 Overlea Boulevard, Toronto, ON, M4H 1P4 or the charity of your choice. At Marion’s request there will be no Funeral Service. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
