She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years Keith Gibson; parents John Garrecht and Emilie Resch; step-father Gregor Resch; brothers and sisters (and their spouses) Genevieve, Joseph, Leo, Peter, Katherine, George and Edward; step-niece Irene Getzlaf and step-nephew Wilfred Resch whom she was raised with.  Agnes is lovingly remembered by her daughter Shelley Ann Gibson; son Cameron (Brenda) Gibson; daughter Pattie Lee Gibson; grandson Brandon Gibson; step-grandson Nathan Burstyk; step-niece Bernice Jeworski whom she was raised with; Betty (Wilfred) Resch; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Agnes was born on May 1, 1931 in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan. When her mother remarried, Agnes moved to a farm near Lajord, Saskatchewan.  Agnes moved to Medicine Hat in her late teens to live with her sister Genevieve and work at Dominion Glass.  Following that, she moved to Regina where she worked for the Red Cross.  On a blind date in 1956, she met the love of her life, Keith Gibson.  They were married on May 31, 1958 and raised their 3 children on the Gibson family homestead (established in 1908).  Agnes and Keith farmed until 2004, when Cameron and Brenda took over the farm, and Agnes resided in Regina since.

Agnes had a big heart and made friends wherever she went.  Favorite pastimes with Keith included old-time dancing, going to curling events across the country, travelling, and visiting with friends. Above all else, family was most important to Agnes and she cherished every moment with them. A Celebration of Agnes’ Life will be held at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, August 21 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating.
