Joel Jamie Davidson was born on March 2, 1994 and passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident on August 12, 2021 at the age of 27.  Joel was the loving father to Jamieson Jett who he had a very special and loving bond with.

Joel is survived by his son Jamieson; his parents Barry and Jamie Davidson; sister Breeann DeHaven (Kirk); brother Dalin (Asanti); along with his nieces and nephew Charlotte, Mason and Georgia DeHaven.  He was predeceased by his younger brother and best friend Landon in 2017.  The family can take some comfort knowing that Joel and Landon are now together.

Joel also leaves behind his grandmother Betty Chatterson; uncle Jeff (Leslie) Chatterson; auntie Heather (Jason) Brandt and auntie Denise (Scott) Harrower; cousins MacKenzie (Bryan) Read, Maxwell (Katelyn) Warner, Kyle (Marion) and Kevin Brandt, Rachel Harrower and Beck Chatterson; as well as many other family and friends.

He was also predeceased by his Grandparents Keith and Marg Davidson and Roy Chatterson as well as his cousin Ian Harrower.

Joel was born in La Ronge but moved to Regina at the age of 3, he attended elementary school at W F. Ready and moved to Yorkton at the beginning of high school.  He attended Yorkton Regional High and graduated in 2012.

Joel spent most of his adult life working for the railroad.  His current job was with Hudson Bay Rail and his home base was The Pas, Manitoba.

Joel played hockey from the age of 6 – first as a player but changed to the position of goalie in his first year of Peewee “Jolie the Goalie”.  He continued in net until he finished hockey at the end of grade 12.  In his adult years he just liked to play regular hockey on the outdoor rink with his buddies in Yorkton.

Joel enjoyed playing the guitar and also loved to watch NFL and NHL, he loved fishing and boating and spending time at our summer cabin in Shellmouth, MB.

Because of Barry’s health, we ask that if you are not feeling good, please do not attend the service and masks will be mandatory.

If you wish to make a donation in Joel’s memory, a RESP education fund for his son Jamieson has been set up through a Go Fund Me page https://gofund.me/f7f97d91 or feel free to donate to a charity of your choice.
