Obituary of Sylvia Kathryn Horn

Sylvia passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 after a brief illness.  She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Marguerite Horn and siblings Walter and Hazel (Richard).  She will always be loved and forever missed by her husband Brian Simon as well many family members on Brian’s side and on Sylvia’s side.  She is survived by her daughter Jean (Jeff) Ellis, sons John and Trevor; grandchildren Kassandra Kalbfleisch, Paiten Johnson, Ayden Ellis, Teagan Ellis, William Kalbfleisch and Raidyn Kalbfleisch; great grandchildren Kaili Kalbfleisch and Ronin Johnson; siblings John and Phil; nieces and nephews Melanie, Brad, Noah and Zoe.  Her passing will also be mourned by Brian’s family: his sister Djurdjica (Maitland) Fraser; nieces and nephews Carla (Anthony), Ann Marie (Chris) and Stephanie (Danny); great nieces and nephews Andrew, Zion, Marrisa, Taylor, Tamika and Daxon; Brian’s brother Joseph (Cindy); nieces and nephews Tyler, Nyela, Shawnett, Adrianna, William, Stephen and Alicia; Brian’s sister Maria (Mike) Ilijeuski; nieces and nephews Lydia (Ross), Elena (Joe) and David (Demilyn) ; great nieces and nephews Domanik, Austin, Olivia and Kaiden, Tennaya, Paige and Sophia ; Brian’s sister Jelka (Zlatko) Potocki; nieces and nephews Lily, Vesna and Angela; great nieces and nephews Liam, London, Layla, Iceland and Lynx; Brian’s brother Djuro (Branka); nieces and nephews Adam, Joseph, Nick (Amanda) and great nephew Sawyer as well as many other relatives and friends.  Sylvia was very talented and outgoing.  She spent countless hours painting, sewing, knitting and crocheting selling all of her creations on her online shop.  She treasured time with family and friends with her warm hospitality and good food.  We will always treasure her!  Cremation has been arranged.
