Enid Iretha Miller (née Cox), late of Regina, SK, known to many as Granny, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family on September 3, 2021. She was born January 24,1926 in Barbados, the sixth and last child of her parents. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Maude Cox and all her siblings; husband, Lightfoot Denmark (Marcus) Miller; son, Stephen Miller; sons-in-law, Derrick Morgan and Gregory Daum.
Enid is survived by her children and their families: Rosemary Forbes, Regina SK; Gloria Daum Regina, SK, and her children Timothy (Krista Aselford), Ottawa, ON, Suzie (Tim Armstrong) and Jason (Angela Ricci), Regina, SK; Carolyn Miller (John Patey) and her children Julian and Rebecca, UK; Elizabeth Morgan and her children Dr. Melissa and Makenzie, Regina, SK; Paul Miller (Dr. Mary Ann Jones) and his children Lucy and Katrina, USA; great-grandmother to: Kai, Tyra, Kennisyn, Winton, Ella and Winter.
Aunt to: Maritha Burnett and family; Rudolph (Marjorie) Sobers and family, Barbados; Yvonne (Stephen) Cupid, Alfred and Paula Cox, Trinidad; Grantley (Glenda) ON. Great-Aunt to: Diana Bruce-Miller, Regina, SK; Sonia, Rondel, Debbie & Mark Goodridge, UK. Special thanks to great-nephew, Dale Cupid of Regina, SK for his many visits over the years.
Dearest friends of Alvita Bennett and family of Toronto, ON; Everett and Sheila Beckles of Regina, SK.
Spiritual children: Margaret Clarke, Janice Kidd, Florence Lubenow, Lee Marriott, Dianne Zborowski, and many others across Canada, the US, Europe and the Caribbean who cared deeply for Granny.
Special thanks to Dr. Didi Emokpare for his many years of lovingly caring for Granny at home. Thank you to Dr. Onose Lawani, family physician, and thank you to Audrey Syrota, nurse and family friend. Thank you to the Regina Home Care & Palliative nursing teams. Your expressions of care will always be remembered by the family.
Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. Public visitation will take place prior to the service from 9:00 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. To view the livestream of the service please click on the link above on the day of the service.
