Our condolences to Scott, Debra and family. Ken was my boss in the 1970's when I was in my 20's and I worked for the Department of Municipal Affairs and then the Saskatchewan Assessment Agency. He was an entertaining guy to have for a boss I'll tell you! Always cracking jokes and telling crazy stories. But he was also a good mentor, always challenging me to get out of my comfort zone, learn new skills and tackle new tasks. I especially remember his love of wine (before I became a wine lover myself) and in the early days, his love of smoking pipes. "Back in the day" when smoking was allowed in the office, he would always have an array of the most unique pipes, ashtrays and tobacco, Mary and Ken invited a group of us from the office out to their cottage at Manitou Beach near Watrous in the mid 1970's, where we partied and went dancing at Danceland. Mary was a very gracious host, putting up with all these twenty "somethings" partying till the wee hours. Little did I know at the time that I would be moving to Watrous myself in 1985 to spend 25 great years there. Ken's sharp wit and sense of humour will surely be missed.
