To the Family...it is with the deepest of Sympathies that we hear of Han's passing. We are good friends of Hans and Julia. Julia is from my Mom, Olive Dodds' hamlet of Hardy, west of Ceylon. He enjoyed seeing us every time that we saw and visited with him at Church. My Mom sends her condolences from Heaven where now they can talk about Hardy. Hugs to all of you. Crystal and Blaine Dodds.

Our condolences to Julia, Stephen, Kim, Heidi and Shawn and your families. Hans was a great friend to my parents, Lloyd and Verla Redick. They have spent many years together, from serving together at the Knox flea markets to celebrating their birthdays and anniversaries together. Hans always had a great sense of humour and could put a smile on anyone’s face instantly. Hans will truly be missed by all those who knew him, but our memories will live in our hearts forever. One of our favorite pictures with Dad and our daughter. Quite a few years ago, but just a relaxed walk with Grandpa

Dear Julia,
We have shared many memories throughout the years. It started with you, teaching at Radville. One Winter, we travelled together to take classes at the U o R. We even got storm stayed in a nasty blizzard one night. We shared a room for a conference at Fort San. Shortly afterwards, we were attending university classes here in Regina, and that year, we proudly marched on that stage to accept that coveted degree. A few years later, while we sat at your table, Hans joined in to become a counselor with sage advice. He knew in his quiet way how to make one laugh again, and showed in so many ways that he had a kind heart. I recall the many occasions when Hans made it his duty to dance with all of we, single ladies, so that everyone could have a good time. He was a good dancer. In 1905 after that centennial play he joked about taking his angel home. In our STS League, all of the bowlers acknowledged him as a pleasant friend, quick to Laugh and who quite often made himself the brunt of his jokes. This cherished connection has extended throughout the years and now leaves us with these special memories to share. We are richer for having known both you and him. We will hold him in our prayers and want to offer our sincere condolences to you Julia and to all of the family.

Dad I will miss you so much. You enjoyed life to the fullest, whether it was holding your first granddaughter for the first time, to celebrating Christmas and birthdays with family or just going to Wascana park for a family day. I always wondered who enjoyed the Science Center more, you or your grandkids!! lol Dad, we shared so many good times together and I am so glad we did. I will miss your witty comments about my travels and blog and will miss our weekly (ok sometimes longer) phone chats during COVID and anytime we were able to connect. Thanks dad for being there during all my dance trips, shows and practices, my skating practices and when I wanted someone to listen, that is what you did best, well and eat, you loved your food! I will miss sharing my gluten free recipes with you, your granddaughter's youtube videos and all the happenings of the twins and Guylain. Love you dad always.

This picture of Grandpa was in 2013 at our wedding. He and Grandma made the trip from Saskatchewan to Halifax to be there to celebrate with us.
One of my favorite memories of Grandpa is his love for smarties. He would always send us them at Christmas. He would wrap them up and then we had to guess what it was. I will have a box of smarties in your honor. You are loved dearly and will be greatly missed. With love, Natalka
