It is with great sadness the family of Miles Dormuth announces his passing in Regina, Saskatchewan, on September 16, 2021 at the age of 60 years old. He was predeceased by his parents Doreen and Ed Dormuth. Miles is survived by his sister Jill (Dean); niece Jelaina (Leo); and nephew Nick; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Miles was involved in the trucking industry his entire career. He started as a driver in the family business, Dormuth Brothers Trucking, and then became a mechanic for Percival Ford and the Prairie Valley School Division.

Miles’ interests included woodworking, board gaming, travelling, and genealogy.

Miles was a member of SaskGames for almost eight years. He attended a variety of board gaming events in Saskatchewan, including Chewsday Challenge, PrairieGameXpo, and Play With Your Food. He also travelled to Livingstone, Montana for Bixconaway and Dallas, Texas for the BoardGameGeek Spring Convention.

Miles went on a variety of other excursions throughout his life, including a variety of locations in North America with his sister Jill and her family, as well as to China and Europe. His trips to Europe had a genealogical focus, as he went to learn more about where his ancestors had lived. Miles spent many hours at libraries and cemeteries working on the family histories of the Dormuth, Kramer, York, and Fuiten families.
