Obituary of Lorelei Yvonne Paulsen
Lorelei Yvonne Paulsen (née Haus) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the young age of 55. She was born on August 6, 1966, to Rodney and Muriel Haus (Schuler). Lorelei grew up in Punnichy, SK where she attended school. After graduating high school, she moved to Regina, SK where she worked and continued her education.
Lorelei married Bradley Paulsen on May 20, 1989. Together they lived on a farm North East of Raymore, SK until moving into their current home in Raymore in 1994. Together they raised their four children.
Lorelei was predeceased by her mother Muriel Haus; and in-laws, Jim and Jean Paulsen. She is survived by her father Rodney Haus; her loving husband of 32 years, Bradley; their children Chelsey (Mitch Fazakas), Brittany (Brandon) Purdue, Breanne (Tanner Schachtel), Dalton (Jamie Brown); and grandchildren Piper, Sawyer, and Lennon Fazakas. Lorelei is also survived by her sister Wanda (Roger) Digney; sisters-in-law Wanda (Garth) Dunville, Brenda (Randy) Thomas, Darla Yonkman (Mike); brother-in-law Chad (Carrie) Paulsen; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lorelei was truly a one-of-a-kind woman. Everyone who knew her, knew how good of a conversationalist she was. Lorelei had a gift of making everyone feel special and welcome. She brought smiles and laughter to everyone she talked to. Even though she hated to be the center of attention, her beautiful personality naturally made her to be just that.
Lorelei’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She texted, phoned, or face-timed each of them daily to see how their day was going. Lorelei was very selfless and always there to help her family with anything they needed. Her love, support, and guidance will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank everyone for their caring words, food, and gifts.
A celebration of Lorelei’s life will be held at the Raymore Gymnasium on Saturday, September 25th at 2:00 in the afternoon. There will be a private family interment immediately following the service. Everyone is welcome to remain at the gym for lunch and to share memories of Lorelei.
