Obituary of Chase Allan Mickleborough
Chase Allan Mickleborough passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021. He was born June 28, 1982 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Chase was predeceased by his father, Craig Allan Mickleborough; and grandparents, Carman and Gladys Mickleborough. He is survived by his mother Laquetta Burkholder; sister Larissa "Riss" (Troy) and nephew Tavin; brother Carman (Whitney) and nephew Beckett.
Chase fought hard against an “Atypical Teratoid Tumor” which is an extremely rare form of cancer that is normally found in children.
He was a handy guy and worked many different trades. During his final days you could find Chase in his wheelchair outside the Pasqua Hospital feeding the birds all the leftover crumbs from his soup crackers, not to mention giving whatever he had on hand to others in need.
Along his journey he met two guardian angels that would forever become part of the family. Special thanks to the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Salim, Dr. Johnson and the Doctors out of country that worked hard to treat Chase's rare cancer. A special thank you to his Spiritual care worker Lorna, who spent time with Chase every day.
Graveside Service is being delayed and further information will be made available at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chase’s name to the Terry Fox Foundation, http://www.terryfox.ca/teamnaomi
