Ruth has been our link to the generation of our parents. The memories she shared with us will be forever cherished. When Mom and Dad moved to Watrous from Semans , Ruth and Ernie were there helping everyday. What a special lady….
I will truly miss hearing her voice, sharing time with Ruth will be treasured always.
Sending our heartfelt condolences to all of Ruth’s family and friends,
Heather and Doug Gyorfi and family

We are so saddened by the passing of Aunt Ruth. We have so many fond memories of not just Aunt Ruth, but the entire family. Aunt Ruth's kindness and hospitality was always second to none. I always enjoyed her calling me sometimes out of the blue, just to talk and catch up on things, and of course the conversation would lead into some old memories, especially at the family farm. Aunt Ruth is a role model for a kind and generous spirit. We will miss her very, very much.

My first memories of Ruth was going for visits with mom and dad. I was pretty young and can't recall specific details about the visits but what I do remember is the farm house and how welcoming Ruth was. You always remember how someone makes you feel. There were many visits throughout the years while I still lived t home. Last summer Heather, my youngest daughter and my partner decided to take Ruth on a road trip around the Markinch area and I am so happy we did. The day was filled with so many stories and memories that I didn't want it to end. I am so happy to have been blessed with that day, we all talk about it and how she teased my partner about being her chauffer. Her memories and stories will be forever cherished. Rest peacefully Ruth.
Sending heartfelt condolences to you all at this difficult time.

I was saddened to hear of Ruth's passing. She and Ernie had been friends of ours for many years. One of my first memories of her was when we purchased a horse from them. We quickly became good friends and visited back and forth many times. Recently our visits were lengthy phone calls to one another, where we could catch up with each other's family. My condolences to all of Ruth's family and friends, she will definitely be missed.

Deepest sympathies to the family of Ruth Kainz - as a young girl I remember our families mingling at Avonhurst functions.
She was known as a hard worker and always ready for a visit and a humorous chat, along with her date, Ernie!
That farm to us is still the Silzer farm and great memories are cherished. Her home was always open to guests and one
was surely given some fresh baking with a coffee. She will be missed by many., and altho we didn't visit in the past few years,
memories hold her dear.

Jerry and I would like to express our sympathy to the family with the loss of your Mother / Grandmother / Great Grandmother. Years past your parents were very good friends with my parents and being at the Kainz farm for me was like a second home. Ruth and I visited over the years, in person or via phone, and she kept me up to date on all of her family and she always inquired about my Mom through these conversations. I received several of her knitted dishcloths and crocheted stove towels at my last visit with her. Small memories. May all your memories of your loved one help to ease the pain you feel with her loss.

So sorry to hear of Grandma's passing - Jenn, Phil and I always felt like she was an extra grandma to us and we were so lucky to have that. I will always remember her dessert squares that she insisted we could have extra portions of (above Mom's gentle protests lol). She was a lovely lady & will be greatly missed.
All my love during this difficult time.
