Obituary of Michelle Renee Gyorfi

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michelle on the morning of September 23, 2021.  Her courageous two year fight has come to an end and the heavens have received another angel.

Michelle was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Ken and Roberta Emslie.  Her younger years were spent in many places due to her father’s career in the oil patch.  Michelle loved figure skating throughout the years and when she moved to Moose Jaw she started her new career as a hair stylist.  After that, she moved to Regina and opened up her own hair salon which is where she met Darryl.  They eventually moved to Raymore to raise their two children.

Michelle was predeceased by her parents, Ken and Roberta Emslie.  She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Darryl; her children, who were her pride and joy, Samantha (Evan) Doidge and Kortlind; her brothers Ron (Rhonda) Emslie of Wembley, Alberta, Brad (Jenny) Emslie of Beaverton, Oregon, USA and Jeff (Denise) Emslie of Regina; mother-in-law Janet Gyorfi of Regina; sisters-in-law Charlotte (Randy) King of Serath, Leanne (Rod) Mountstephen of Raymore and Wendy Gyorfi of Regina; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Michelle will be deeply missed for her loving and selfless actions.  Her beautiful smile and contagious laugh could bring a smile to those who were in her presence.
