Pauline Leis (nee Stricker), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Vern (Carol) Leis and Phyllis Collins; grandchildren Allen Leis, Darwin (Louise) Collins, and Jason (Tammy) Collins; great grandchildren Jessica (Brendan), Austin, Brandon (Rachel), Karlyn, Teran, Tyson, and Shane; as well as great-great grandchildren, Lakelynn, Beckett, Decca, Baya, and Lotie; and many nieces and nephews to treasure her memory. Pauline was predeceased by her parents Fred and Molly Stricker; husband John, son-in-law Dwight Collins; six sisters; and nine brothers.

Pauline was born on June 1, 1923, in Rhein, Saskatchewan. She spent her early years on the family farm until she met the love of her life, John Leis. They married on December 8th, 1940, were blessed with two children, Vern and Phyllis, and farmed until they moved to Regina in 1956.

Pauline worked as a seamstress and homemaker, in addition to being a loving wife and mother. During their 60 years of marriage, Pauline and John worked very hard but were also able to enjoy vacationing in many North American destinations, including visiting family and friends. Pauline also loved her flowers, gardening, and patio visits. Numerous family events were hosted by this great cook and matriarch. From making memories over Christmas and Easter dinner to enjoying laughter and drinks during sausage or cabbage bun making sessions, Pauline always opened her home and her heart to all who came, usually rounding off the evening with a game of cards. Pauline was generous with her time and with her talents.

Pauline took great pride in her family and their accomplishments. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart and passion for life.
