Obituary of Lois Sheron Ambler

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lois late of Regina SK, at the age of 92 years. Lois was born a twin & oldest of her siblings in Oxbow, SK and raised in Alameda, SK before marrying the love of her life William in 1950. After a few moves they settled in Regina to raise their four children together. Lois was wonderfully devoted to her family and she created a beautiful home & life while Bill worked away from home during the week. She loved playing music & singing in the choir at St. James United Church. Lois was fond of traveling & was always up for anything along the way. In recent years, Lois was happiest when surrounded by her friends & family, playing bunko on Mondays and listening to Alan Jackson on repeat. She loved when her family was together and when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit and she always lit up the room and was genuinely interested in everyone. Lois was predeceased by her parents; siblings; grandson, James Vance; and her husband, the love of her life, William in 2012 after 62 years of marriage. She is survived by her children Linda (Don) Andrews, Debra (Mervin) Ekes , Murray (Chris) Ambler and Bill Ambler Jr.; grandchildren Jody Andrews, Jennifer Andrews, Megan (Dan) Collier, Mikel (Jacklyn) Ekes, Jacalyn (Brendan) Ambler-Brown, Jessica Ambler, Jasmine Ambler; several great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Forever remembered for her laugh, sharp memory & overall love of life, Lois was a strong, determined & incredibly kind woman that set an example for us all. You will be forever missed Grams, we know you are with Gramps looking down on all of us. Special thanks to the staff at the Regina General Hospital who provided wonderful care in her final days. A private family celebration of Lois’ Life will be held at Regina Memorial Gardens.
