Vince is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sylvia (nee Laslo);  son Jamie (Ruby, Mirina); daughter Ramona (no children) all of Regina; granddaughters Kristie (Tim) Toews and their children Johnathan, Elizabeth, Anna and Ava-James all of Bonnyville, AB and Kayleigh (Neil) Kirk and their fur-babies of Vancouver, BC; grandson Jacob Hebel (parent's Tracy/Jim) of Bonnyville, AB; brother Ken (Carol) of Regina; nieces Dyan, Nancy (Doug's daughters), Kim and Nicole (Ken's daughters); nephew Bruce (Doug's son); and beloved cousin, Dot Lepp of Aurora, ON;  as well as his extended family in Canada and Scotland and his very dear friend Alastair Kerr of Dunoon.

Born on October 12, 1932, Dad started off, at a young age, by helping his father delivering Weston's bread courtesy of a horse and buggy.  When he reached driving age he drove taxi briefly and then in the early 50's he started, with what would become his career, in trucking working for R.S. Lawrence Transfer, Canadian Pacific Express Company, Rasmussen's and then in 1961 he started at Maccam/Trimac and worked there until his retirement in 1992 at Branch # 23. He was incredibly proud when his son Jamie, followed in his footsteps and joined the trucking industry.

A kind, loving, humble and hard-working man who was fiercely proud of his family and his Scottish heritage. Vince was a staple for many years volunteering at the Mosaic Festival and was also involved with Sons of Scotland, The Fraser Pipe Band and the Army and Navy Vets, he and Sylvia were members of First Presbyterian church for the last 64 years.  Always a smile upon his face and nary an ill word spoken of others.

A special thank you to Dr. Ming-Fok, Lea and Debra at the Regina Medical Centre; Dr. S. Arndt (retired); Jarron Yee and the staff of The Medicine Shoppe at 9th Ave. N.; the nurses, care-aids, recreation staff, reception, kitchen-staff, laundry and maintenance personnel, at the Regina Lutheran Care Home, where dad had resided since February 17th of 2021 and I wanted to say a sincere thank-you for the respect shown to my father as he was led out of your facility on the morning of October the 13th.  That was incredibly moving and I will never forget that. Thank you also for continuing to look after my mother, Sylvia, who suffers from cognitive impairment. Thank you to Pastor Lucas of Mount Olive Lutheran Church who immediately came to dad's beside on October 12th. Your prayers, blessings and kindness were of great comfort. Thank you to Reverend Amanda Currie of First Presbyterian Church who reached out to me when I needed comfort and guidance the most. Thank you also to Ferlin, Bonnie and everyone at Speers for their kindness shown in helping me to arrange Vince's service; Regina Memorial Gardens for their assistance with the internment; Barb & Iain MacDonald for their years of friendship.  Dad loved you very much and he was your biggest "groupie."  Thank you to Shauna Giannetta for being my rock. Sincerely, Ramona Aitken P.S. I Love You daddy  XO
