Leah Biegler

Obituary of Leah Elizabeth Biegler

On October 13, 2021, Leah Elizabeth Biegler, left this world to enter the house of God and into His loving arms.  Leah was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and with brain metastasis in 2017.  Despite the unexpected diagnosis, Leah had the privilege of living a full and blessed life surrounded by amazing family and friends.  Predeceased by her father Ken Roland in 2017, Leah is survived by her loving husband Lawrence; her most beloved sons, Noah, (Savannah), and Zach; her mother, Anne Roland; sister, Michele Roland Semenchuck and Randy Semenchuck, (Davis, Cami); brother Grant Roland, (Hayley, Tyler); mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Julius Biegler; sister-in-law, Cornelia Biegler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Biegler, Werner and Kelly Biegler, (Connor, Brett), Chris Biegler and Leah Lawrence, and Roland Biegler, (Kio, Zaia).  Leah was also blessed with numerous and loving relatives and lifelong friends who brought so much joy, support, and laughter to her life.  She also leaves behind the most amazing group of friends through her breast cancer group, who supported, inspired and truly “got it” throughout this journey.

She was a member of Bloom Church, which has always provided love, support, and endless prayers over the past years.  Leah’s career as a medical social worker allowed her to meet endless people, both colleagues and clients, who taught her so much about life, facing unimaginable life changing situations, health and social challenges, and the beginning as well as the end of life.  She had immense gratitude for this opportunity, and hoped that she somehow made a difference in the lives of others.  Leah fully embraced the absolute need for all of us to accept one another and to never judge others as less deserving of equality, compassion, and respect.

A huge thank you to ALL of the staff and volunteers of the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, who made Leah feel so well looked after, and in such caring, loving, and professional hands, each time she entered the clinic.  A special thank you to oncologists, Dr. M, Khan, Dr. M. Ferguson, and nurse, Paula, as well as surgeons, Dr. I Kurtz and Dr. T. Dalkilic, and Emergency Dr. B. Pillay.  Thank you must also be given to Tracy Gardikiotis and the physio team at the Pasqua Lymphedema program, the Nuclear Medicine units at both the Pasqua Hospital and Regina General Hospital, and the Advanced Echo Lab.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.  In the meantime, celebrate life every day, through random acts of kindness to others.

Donations in memory of Leah may be made to the North Central Family Centre 2931 5th Avenue, Regina SK, S4T 0L4 or the CIBC Run for the Cure "COUNT ME(ts) IN" team in support of metastatic breast cancer.

God Bless you all.
