Obituary of John Thomas Wilkinson

John “Jack” Thomas Wilkinson went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on October 15, 2021. Jack was born in Indian Head Hospital on March 20, 1937  to Harold and Elsie Wilkinson. He had a good life along with his two sisters growing up on the farm. Jack graduated from high school and received a scholarship to go to university, but instead, chose to farm with his father. He farmed at Indian Head for 59 years. Jack`s Grandfather started the family homestead in 1890. The farm has since remained in the family. His grandmother played the organ and sang hymns and that influenced Jack to himself sing and play the piano – which he did for many years at His Way Ministries. God gave Jack his own personal songs that touched people`s hearts when sang them. Jack travelled with his wife Marlene to Africa and India, sharing Jesus Christ. He was a loving, caring husband and a man of integrity – his word was his word. Jack was a good Christian who loved his family – he always said love was the most important. Jack was predeceased by his parents; and his son Gavin; he is survived by his wife Marlene; daughter Julie; son Gene; and grandchildren. Jack was a kind and honest man who touched many lives. A Celebration of Jack`s Life will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
