Aunt Mildred, always such a good friend to my mom and dad. The only lady I was happy to give my bed up for the night before my wedding. I recall the days when she and mom would net fish in the Cutarm Creek, wearing knee high waders and laughing in the afternoon sun. The time they "spot lighted" midnight skinny dippers at Frome's Lake (Carlton Trail). Such an absolute lady with a wonderful sense of humour. Thank you for blessing my life with your presence. Auntie Mildred will be missed by many, for sure, but will always hold a special place in our family's hearts, even though we were unable to see her as frequently as we would have liked, living as far away as we did from her. She always had a great laugh that would brighten anyone's day that was around to hear it, always made sure you were very well fed ... and as my wife will atest to, would instantly find a spot in anyone's heart with her kindness. We will miss our Auntie Mildred ... but will always be reminded of her as we see those characteristics in her children (our cousins), grand children and great grand children. Prayers from Georgia ... So sorry to hear of Mildred's passing. She was a big part of my life many years ago and i, personally, visited here in her home and was always welcomed. Time and changing life situations brought this to a close but I always remember fondly the associations with Mildred, Angela, Paul and Irene. God bless all. Sincerely, Dorcas Oleskiw.
