Obituary of Glen Daniel Gordon

Glen Daniel Gordon, (who was given the spiritual name of “Red Cloud” {Muh pi iya luta}), from Pasqua First Nation, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 27, 2021. Glen was born on October 20, 1943 at the Fort Qu’Appelle Indian Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Olive (nee Kennedy) Gordon, and his brothers Conrad, Ronald, and Bernard. Glen is survived by his son Andre (wife Janet); daughter Pamela (husband Brad); granddaughter Shaylynn (husband Justin); great-grandson Maximus; and several siblings, nieces and nephews. Glen worked throughout many various occupations in his life but was most noted for his work during his time as a researcher with the Indian Rights and Treaty Research department of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations and later in his career provided low income housing coordination to the development of Silver Sage Housing in Regina. His later years were spent working the land around his home on Pasqua First Nation. Even though Glen grew up through the residential school system in Saskatchewan, he remained a very forward business-minded person with a capacity of kindness and giving. Glen will be missed greatly. Wake Service will be held at Carry the Kettle Band Hall on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at the Carry the Kettle Band Hall on Sunday October 31, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Carry the Kettle South Cemetery.
