Obituary of Macheala Anne Marie Tokar

August 28, 1995 – November 5, 2021

It is with great sadness the family announce the sudden passing of Macheala Anne Marie Tokar, on Friday, November 5, 2021 in Regina, SK, at the age of 26 years. She was predeceased by her mother Amanda Tokar; great-grandmothers Sadie Tokar and Mary Payne; and aunt Jennifer Smith. Macheala is survived by her father David Kruger; brother Jayden Tokar-Katz; Nana Debbie Fraser; Papa John Tokar; uncle John Tokar Jr. (Brittany); aunts Terri-Lynn Snell (Aaron) and Kristine Beer; cousins Paige Erick (Eric), Breanne McGillicky, Jensen Snell, Kaitlyn Snell and Kristopher Snell, Jon Smith (Macki) and Peyton Fiessel; as well as countless great- aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Macheala had the kindest soul anyone could imagine. She had an incredibly beautiful smile with a cheek dimple and a contagious laugh. She LOVED her family, with all her heart and soul and her family loved her immensely! Macheala loved her brother Jayden, very much and loved that he was always there for her and understood her. She missed her mother Amanda very deeply every single day, since her passing when Macheala was only 6 years old. Macheala loved her Nana and Papa immensely! Her uncle John was her favorite! Paige, her cousin was just like a sister to her. Macheala loved animals and loved working in animal shelters and fostering dogs. Starting when Macheala was just a child, she was always coming home with stray cats and dogs, just like her mother. In her final few years, Macheala rekindled a loving relationship with her father Dave, and enjoyed spending time with him, going fishing and camping. Macheala will be laid to rest with her mom, where they will be able to spend eternity together.

Public Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Macheala's Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. There will be an opportunity to share stories at an open mic at the reception. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Macheala to Prairie Sky Dog Rescue at https://prairieskydogrescue.ca/pages/donate
