Lana, Don and Family,
Our most sincere condolences for your family on the loss of your father Al. We sometimes saw him on our walks around the Hillsdale neighbourhood.
Wonderful memories will surely be yours in the years ahead.
Warmest wishes,

Don, Brenda and family:
While we mourn the loss of your dad I can't help but think "what a life well-lived!" Al Schuster never did anything halfway! Whether it was water-skiing, snow-skiing, snowmobiling, cycling, running or any other pursuit in life, Al's approach was "if you're going to do something you might as well do it to the best of your ability!" In that he inspired me and many others as evidenced by the fact that he was and remains a legend in the Regina running community.
My fondest memories go back nearly half a century to time spent on Pasqua Lake. After work and school on a Friday afternoon the red "Schuster-mobile" would be loaded up for the trip down the TransCanada highway east to the Qu'Appelle Valley. On many occasions I was excited to join Don in the back seat. We would make one stop along the way to put a couple of dollars of gas into an outboard gas tank. I remember skiing against a backdrop of the setting sun as it dipped behind the hills surrounding Pasqua Lake. Al always had the biggest spray and enjoyed the challenge the most.
We will miss him but I think I will always manage a smile when I remember Al.
