Obituary of Douglas Peter Don Roy McKay

In loving memory of Douglas Peter Don Roy McKay of Regina, SK who passed away suddenly on November 23, 2021. Douglas was born on November 2, 1996 in Regina to Renita Wahpoosewyan and Marshal McKay. He was their youngest son. Douglas was predeceased by both his mother Renita and father Marshal; his two older sisters, April Catherine Joy McKay and Rayleen Faye Dawn McKay-Holmes; and brother-in-law Daryl Holmes. Left to mourn is his sister, Alexis McKay; brothers, Joseph McKay, Marshall McKay and his oldest brother Aaron (Kelly) Wahpoosewyan; Uncles, Rocky (Roy Jr.) Wahpoosewyan, and Raeo (Vivian) Dempsey; Aunties, Cheryle Obey, Danita Wahpoosewyan and Charleen (Darryl) Dempsey; and Grandparents, Mushum Roy Wahpoosewyan and Helen (Bill H.) Shewack. He will also be remembered by his cousins, Gayleen (Jon) Shepherd, Carrie Lerat, Justin Lerat, Jonas (Crystal) Obey; and all of his family. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Brittany Nanaqueitung. We all love Dougie for the laughter he brought. Even though he was struggling, he wanted to change his life and had plans to marry the love of his life, Brittany. It is a very sad time in our lives, but our love for him will never be forgotten. The Wake will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 6:00 PM. The Funeral Service will take place at the Speers Family Centre on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
