Lyon (Lefty) Henry Negrych, of Regina Saskatchewan, was born on July 31, 1934. He passed away peacefully on November 26, 2021 at the age of 87. Lefty was born in Montreal, QC and he grew up in Toronto, ON before moving to Winnipeg, Selkirk and Brandon, MB then onto Saskatoon before settling in Regina. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris (nee Wilson); sisters, Lillian (Wagner) of El Paso, TX and Victoria (Billington) of San Francisco, CA; son, Michael of Houston, TX; and great-granddaughter, Erin (Fehr) of Plumas, MB. Lefty met his wife, Doris, in Churchill, MB where he was stationed with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals and they married in 1956 at Erskine Church in Toronto. He spent most of his working years with NCR (National Cash Register) across Canada. Lefty was a member of the Legion, a Mason and was involved in community sports. He loved to garden, listen to Nana Mouskouri and Leonard Cohen, watch the Montreal Canadiens (Go Habs), quote Monty Python and learn about astronomy and astrophysics. Lefty will be remembered for his many passions in life and the stories he told about growing up in Parkdale, being stationed up at Fort Churchill and working across Canada, which he passed on to all who knew him.

A private family gathering will be held in Churchill at a later date.
