I am in shock as today Oct 1/22 find out about a very dear friend who has passed away. Barb & Leanne I am without words and only tears as I read Chris obituary. My heart is full of sadness. I'm so very sorry for your immense loss of your brother. Chris was an incredible friend to me. He helped bring light to my own dad as he began to lose his sight after one of his strokes. Chris reached out and spent hours on the phone with dad & I in NS. Chris truly was one of the great ones and he loved you both so very much along with his special girl Nicole (guide dog) . When he lost Nicole a piece of Chris went with her. Chris loved his independence, his food & cooking, going to the farm, being with the guys on outings, our many phone calls. I will most definitely miss this incredible man and beloved friend. Rest easy Chris I know you're reunited with your mom who we spoke of often and your dear sweet Nicole who loved you as much as you loved her. Look for my mum & dad they are in heaven with you too. Look for dad, he would love to talk recipes with you. You'll always & forever have a place in my heart. I miss you my dear friend. Barb & Leanne you have my deepest condolences.

Barb and Family, I am sorry to hear about Chris. It has been many years since I saw him but I remember him with fondness. He rose to challenge many obstacles and did it with grace and humour. I know you have many cherished memories of your brother, as he had of you.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Chris. I have gotten the pleasure to work with him many times this past year, both providing Assistive Technology services to VLR and CNIB clients. He was always so helpful and never hesitated to take my call when needed. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Chris. I worked with Chris for many years at Standard Motors. He was a good sport and fun to be around. We loss touch over the years but I had heard of the great strides he was taking in his new career and life. A sad loss. Sincere sympathies. Patsy Wiebe

It is with great sadness that I heard of the passing of my friend and colleague.
I met Chris when he took over from Carl as the assistive technologist at CNIB Regina, now VLR.
Chris was a pleasure to work with and over the years we got to know each other quite well and became fast friends.
Whether it was helping find the best solution for a client, planning a tech fair, offering a price quote or talking about family, dogs, restaurants (Fuddruckers), telling stories, laughing or just catching up. I have such fond memories of Chris,
RIP my friend, you will be missed, but not forgotten.

My thoughts go out to all of Chris 's family and friends. I have known Chris as client first and colleague and a friend. Chris shared a great deal about his life over the years I have known him. I hope Barb and Leanne, you know how grateful and how lucky Chris felt about having two such loving sisters, who always had his back, he shared that with me all the time. Carolynne I hope you know what new lease on life you gave Chris. He told me every time I chatted with him how much he appreciated you for coming into his life, during some of the most challenging times in his life. He was so excited for your plans for the future. It is with heavy hearts and fond memories we hold for Chris, each of his colleagues are reminded how short life really is. I will remember Chris as someone with generous heart, with great compassion for others( he always had time for a listening ear ), he was tenacious sometimes to fault , hopeful despite his challenges, forgiving, packed with humour no matter how warped, and his strength through his many struggles. I will remember him for his passion for counselling (his true passion) and advocacy on behalf of clients for the same services he received at the beginning of his journey through vision loss. My most cherished memories of Chris is for the other love of his life, his guide dog Nicole, he loved and adored Nicole, she provided him lot of support and her loss made great impact on him. My most vivid images and reminders, I will hold dear is listening to Chris talking to Nicole with love and affection, or trying to play with her down hallway at work. My hope for his loved ones is that you are surrounded by Love and Light, and the image of Chris and Nicole together. Lisa
