Obituary of Bernard Adam Sebastian

Bernie Sebastian passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 27, 2021 in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK at the age of 86 years old. He was born on November 8, 1935, in Montmartre, SK and was the youngest son of William and Anna. Bernie went to high school in Regina at Campion College where he met many lifelong friends. He enjoyed playing sports including baseball, hockey and football. It was a blind date that brought him and his dear Alice together. They married in 1956 and moved to Yorkton where he worked as a radio technician for the RCMP, an affiliation he cherished. Bernie and his young family moved back to Regina where eventually he and a friend started a waste management business. He was also active in the local business community. He enjoyed home projects including building his family cottage and beautifying his yard. He loved traveling with his wife and downhill skiing with friends. In later years, he spent many hours refinishing furniture some of which can be found in the homes of his children and grandchildren. He was a loving and proud father to three daughters, Candace, Sandra and Andrea. He was a kind coach, always cheering and helping whenever needed. Later, he did the same for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bernie will be sadly missed by his daughters Candace (Darryl) and Andrea (Chris); grandchildren Jenna, Braden (Charlcey), Chelsea and Kenton (Makenzee); as well as great grandchildren Kyan, Malek, Pippa, Banks, Diamond, and Gavriel who will cherish his memory. Bernie was predeceased by his wife Alice and daughter Sandra. Heart-felt thanks to the caring staff at Echo Lodge Special Care Home in Fort Qu’Appelle. A Celebration of Bernie’s Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Private interment at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bernie to a charity of your choice.
