Patricia Duchak

Obituary of Patricia Jean Duchak

Mom passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Regina General Hospital. She religiously watched church every Sunday Morning on TV. This Sunday however, mom decided that she wanted to be in the first pew of His House.

Mom was blessed with a long and fulfilling life. She achieved her two goals, living till she was 90 years and remaining in her own home.

She enjoyed getting together with her coffee ladies at Southland Mall to catch up on all the news. Family time at the cottage would find mom sitting by the fireplace, puzzling with “her Garry” or “shucking” peas with her best friend Doris in the veranda.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband George and son Gregory. Leaving to cherish her memory are her daughters Cathy and Shelley (Garry) Wahl.

Jade, her cat and faithful companion of 19 years, will be joining mom in her final resting place. They were lovingly known as the “two old broads.”

A very special thank you to EMS, RGH emergency department, and the physicians and wonderful staff on CSU. Your kindness and thoughtfulness will always be remembered.

Thank you also to Dr. Iffat Muhammad and Bev for your tender care and to River Heights Pharmacy, Wayne and Staff.

A private graveside service will be held.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7 or Exalipurr Cat Café,  2156 Albert Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2T9.

An Irish Blessing

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
