Obituary of Elaine Margaret Logan

1935 - 2021

Elaine passed away on November 29, 2021 in Regina, SK at the age of 86, with her family by her side.  She was a kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother and registered nurse. Elaine was raised in Theodore, Saskatchewan. While growing up there, she discovered adventure, sunshine and beaches at Good Spirit Lake; those adventures continued yearly including this past summer. Elaine graduated as a registered nurse from City Hospital, Saskatoon with the class of 1957B. She cared for others in hospitals in Melfort, Red Deer, Brandon and Swift Current. After retiring, she volunteered at the Palliative Care Unit in Regina. In 1961, Jim and Elaine married in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Together they raised their three daughters. In her earlier years, she was fortunate to travel to Scotland, Cuba, Australia and the US. Elaine could often be found looking fashionable, smiling with a book and chai tea latte in hand; and she gladly shared those passions with others. Left behind to celebrate her life are husband Jim; daughters Carol (Wayne), Laurel and Jamie (Nicole); and grandchildren Jennifer (Cameron), Angela (John), Chris, Lee and Katie. Our gratitude goes to the caring staff on 4B and Palliative Care at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina for the excellent care that was given to Elaine. To honor Elaine’s wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
